Max D. Williams, 80, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday morning at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born in Mountain View to Bill and Mytrie Broyles Williams on June 11, 1935.

He lived in Blytheville most of his life. He worked the Louis Ball Farm at Clearlake for years and then worked the Wallace Farm at Armorel for over 28 years. One of his passions in life was his vegetable garden, but he also enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, watching Westerns, and Bluegrass music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Savage Williams, Willie J. Williams, Earnest Williams, and Jessie Williams; and one sister, Juanita Williams.

He is survived by his daughter Dorothy Ward and husband Zeke of Blytheville;

A grandson, Jason Green and wife Jennifer of Murphysboro, Tenn.;

A granddaughter, Tina Myers and husband Gary of Blytheville;

Seven great-grandchildren: Michael Bluemel, Austin Williamson, Ryan Williamson, Cody Myers, Jena Green, Parker Green, and Maddie Green;

And one brother, Earl Williams.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. in Carney Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, with Zeke Ward officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 1:30-until service begins. Burial will be in Carney Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.carneyfuneralhome.com.
