Jack McBride

Jack Russell McBride, Jr., age 65, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Born to Jack R. McBride, Sr. and Bea Ledbetter, Jack worked for J. E. Phillips & Sons for 36 years. He deeply loved the Lord, his family, and his friends. He could usually be found smiling, shaking someone's hand, playing with his grandchildren, and drinking coffee. He was full of life and love and he could make a friend anywhere. Most of all, he loved making memories with his family. Whether it was on FaceTime with Hilary, Lilly, and Colton in Alaska, going to eat and shop with his wife, hanging out with Jackie and watching Seth, Cheyenne, Chelsea's games and activities, he was present in every moment. Some of his favorite activities were going to cafes with his grandson Seth and walking while Seth rode his "green machine." Jack loved to garden, watch old westerns, and keep up with his favorite NASCAR drivers, Kasey Kahne, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kyle Bush. Jack always had a smile on his face and laughter in his heart. He was friends with anyone and knew no stranger. Jack will be truly, deeply missed and he will always be loved and remembered. He is enjoying his time in glory with his dad and brother where we will see him again some day.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack R. McBride, Sr.; and brother, Steven Barry Ledbetter.

Jack is survived by his wife, Diane Thompson McBride of the home; children, Jaclyn "Jackie" McBride Jones and her husband Jeremy of Gosnell, and Hilary McBride Lafferty and her husband Paul of Fairbanks, Alaska; mother, Bea Ledbetter of Vilonia, Arkansas; sisters, Leona Webster and her husband Jack of Vilonia, Arkansas, Zoe McBride Lewis of West Little Rock, Arkansas, Carla Ledbetter York of Mena, Arkansas, and Kareth Ledbetter Baber and her husband John of Glenwood, Arkansas; grandchildren, Seth Jones, Cheyenne Jones, Chelsea Jones, Lilly Lafferty, and Colton Lafferty.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Pankey officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
