James Sexton

James Daymond Sexton, Sr., 78, of Bartlett, Tenn., passed away November 27, 2015 at Memphis. Born January 31, 1937 in Center, Ky., to the late William "Pete" Sexton and Bessie Witherspoon Suggs, he was a retired musician and carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by stepfather Oliver Suggs, and brothers William Leon Peak and Brian Norvell.

He is survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children Lillian McFatridge Sexton, of Bartlett;

Two sons, James (Cathie Maitland) Daymond Sexton, Jr., of Horn Lake, Miss., and John Fairley Sexton, of Bartlett;

Sister, Helen Norvell of Dallas, Texas;

Brother, Raymond Sexton of Beebe;

Grandchildren, Jordan Blake Sexton, Aiden Blake Sexton, and Lane Matthew Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will follow at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett.
