Military deserves better benefits

To the Editor:

Am I missing something?

Military members die for this nation with a maximum life insurance policy of $400,000; and, many working with less or no life insurance. Yet, unemployed members of society with criminal records die at the 'supposed' hands of law enforcement and the surviving family members receive millions.
