Willie Hassell

Mr. Willie Hassell (Brother) expired on July 16, 2015 at NEA Baptist Memorial Health Care in Jonesboro, Ark. He is the grandson of the late Mathias and Emma Hassell and the son of Willie and Mamie Hassell.

He was preceded in death by his son, Willie Frayser Hassell, two sisters and one brother, Christobel Andrews, Elsie Lockhart and Charlie Hassell.

He leaves a wife, Essie Hassell;

Four children, Lavern Taylor (Cleo) of Joiner, Debra Brown (Jimmy) of Bassett, Johnny Wayne Hassell (Debra) of Arlington, and Sparkle Brooks (Kendrick) of Joiner;

Three sisters, Dotsie Long of Memphis, Adeline Smith of Joiner, and Emma Jean Johnson of Madison, Wis.; and

Three brothers, Mathias and James Lewis Hassell, both of Madison, and Johnny Hassell of Memphis.

Funeral services for Mr. Hassell were Saturday, July 25, with a wake beginning at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Joiner.
