Charles Anderson, 79, of Blytheville, died May 29, 2015 at Great River Medical Center, Blytheville. He was born in Wardell, MO to James Anderson and Mae Ella Collier-Wilson. He moved to Armorel to live with his grandfather, Professor Anderson.

In 1958, he married Gearline Harris and to their union six children. After their divorce, Earnestine Falls became a part of his life, and her two children became his.

Charles was a hard worker and a great provider. He had been employed by E.B. Gee Company, Kemp Whisenhunt, as a construction worker and concrete finisher. Later, he was a self-employed concreter finisher. He had been an employee of Myers Bakery, Blytheville Compress, Nibco, Hays Store, Nucor-Yamato Steel and NEAFCU.

Charles' hobbies were fishing, playing baseball, and being with family. He enjoyed being with friends at Jenerette's Store, Wal-Mart, Mae's Diner and his Tuesday Breakfast Club at Perkins. You may have called him, Charlie, Blimpie, or Charles, but everyone was his friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors are three daughters, Jacqueline (Gregory) Burton of Blytheville, Flaskia (George) Fennell of Killen, TX, Shemika Jackson of Blytheville;

Five sons, Dexter (Peggy) Anderson, Anthony (Tara) Anderson of Little Rock, Cedric Anderson of Jonesboro, Eric (Patricia) Anderson of Washington, D.C. and Marvin Falls of Blytheville;

Four sisters, Lula (Eutal) Wilson of Painsville, OH, Themla (Miller) Gayton of Indianapolis, IN, Mozell Wilson of Daytona Beach, FL and Brenda (Gene) Gladney of Memphis;

Three brothers, Edd (Loretta) Glasco of St. Louis, Robert (Betty) Wilson of Columbia, Mo and Otis Wilson of Lake Charles, LA;

Three aunts, Eurine Bratton, Irene Watson and Mattie Williams all of St. Louis;

His stepmother, Lois Anderson of Chicago;

Two stepsisters, Elaine Anderson and Faye Anderson of Chicago;

Grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members.

Visitation will be Friday, June 5 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, at 4 p.m. at New St. Paul Baptist Church, 515 E. Sawyer St., Reverend Clark Phillips, pastor. Reverend Anthony Burton will officiate and deliver the eulogy. Burial at Gethsemane Gardens.
