Lela Mae Parnell

Lela Mae Parnell, 92, of Osceola, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola.

Born Nov. 22, 1922, in Hughes, she was a homemaker and a member of New Generation Followers of Jesus Christ in Driver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Parnell; one daughter, Louise Brittmon; one sister, Alberta Bolden; and two brothers, Rufus Bolden and Willie Bolden.

She leaves behind a daughter, Mary Parnell of Osceola;

Four grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 37 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m., Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Generation Followers of Jesus Christ with Pastor Paul Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Driver.
