John Wesley Moore Jr.

John Wesley Moore Jr., 56, of Leachville, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Kennett to the late John Wesley and Rita Baker Moore, he had been a lifelong resident of the Leachville-Manila areas. John was a 1976 graduate of Manila High School and was a retired machinist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Moore Hetler earlier this year.

He is survived by one son, Johnathan Moore of Manila;

One daughter, Amiee Elrod of Brookland;

His aunt, Brenda Matheny of Leachville;

Two nieces, Chandra Tanner of Lonoke and Laci Hutchison of Dayton, Ohio; and

Five grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service has held Sunday in the Leachville Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. The family received friends prior to the service at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville.
