Billy L. Young

Mr. Billy L. Young, 80, of Smithville, died Monday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born Dec. 4, 1934, he was a truck driver and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Smithville.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Clella Young, Etta Young and Ola Young; and five brothers, George Young, Willie Young, Roy Young, Estel Young and Denver Young.

Mr. Young leaves his wife, Rachel "Katherine" Young of the home;

Two daughters, Bonnie Skarland of Arizona and Cheryl Young of Idaho;

Two sons, David A. Young of Batesville and Jason Young of Arizona;

Four sisters, Mable Branscum and Corda Branscum, both of Kentucky, Grace Roeh of Ohio and Lenna Mae Houchins of Indiana;

One brother, Arthur Young of Indiana; and

A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Smithville with Bro. Jerry Clemons officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Smithville.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza.
