Mildred Louise Brittmon, 77, of Osceola, died Monday, March 2, 2015, at her home.

Born in Hughes on May 6, 1937, she was a homemaker and a member of Princess Chapel Osceola and was an usher and on the mother board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Willie Brittmon; her father, James Brown; one daughter, Lela Ralph; one son, John Willie Brittmon Jr.; one sister, Modena Brown; and four brothers, James Brown Jr., Roosevelt Brown, Sid Brown and Freddie Brown.

She leaves behind her mother, Lela Parnell of Osceola;

Four daughters, Mary Louise Williams of Memphis, Linda Gail (Billy) Moore of Paducah, Kentucky, and Glenda (Robert) Bohanon and Mary Parnell, both of Osceola;

One step-daughter, Jerline Coleman of Malden, Missouri;

One son, Elzie Broadnax of Osceola;

Two sisters, Artina Brown and Mary Brown, both of Forrest City;

Six brothers, Curtis Brown, Thee Brown, Thalia Brown, Andrew Brown and Arthur Brown, all of Forrest City, and Spencer Brown of West Memphis; and

Twenty grandchildren and a host of great- and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home Osceola.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem MB Church in Osceola with Pastor Robert Ousley officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery Osceola.
