Leslie Earl Curtis, 82, of Monette, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born and raised in Waverly, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James and Mary George Curtis and had been a Monette resident since 2001. He was a retired taxi cab driver and was of the Assembly of God faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Curtis; two sisters; and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Curtis of Monette;

One son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Carla Curtis of Magazine, Arkansas;

One daughter, Barbara O'kane and her husband, Larry, of Jacksonville, Arkansas;

One step-son, Gary Neal of Oklahoma;

Two step-daughters, Janie Mays and her husband, Robert, of Dover, Arkansas, and Charlene Mangrum and her husband, Dwight, of Leachville; and

One sister, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Terry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight Mangrum, Roger Ramsey, William Walrath, Adam Carpenter, Keith Cook and Jerry Neal.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
