Max R. Redwine

Max R. Redwine, 93, of Paragould, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

He was born March 7, 1921, at Maynard, to Horace and Pearle Redwine. Max was a World War II Navy veteran. He served in the Pacific. He retired from First National Bank as an agriculture loan officer. He enjoyed raising cattle on his farm and loved to travel. Max was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Kern Redwine; a sister, Nema Hughes; and his first wife, Geneva Redwine.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Redwine of the home;

His son and daughter-in-law, Denis A. and Patricia Redwine of Houston;

His daughter, Janis R. Holder of Paragould;

His step-son, Randy Blanton of Paragould;

His step-daughters and sons-in-law, Sharlene and Scott Giles of Paragould and Janet and Marty Blankenship of Paragould;

His brother, Bruce C. Redwine of Marmaduke; and

Fourteen grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Maynard Cemetery in Pocahontas with Michael Meredith officiating.
