Mary Wells

Mrs. Mary Wells, 96, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born Sept. 17, 1918, to the late Bishop Arthur and Elizabeth Lester, she moved to Blytheville in the 1940s.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rufus; one son, Freddie; one sister, Myrtle; and other family members.

Mrs. Wells leaves her niece, Rosie L. Cooper Willis of St. Louis;

A nephew, Alexander Copper of St. Louis;

A dear friend, Virginia Silmond;

A fiend and caregiver, Barbara M. Mitchell; and

Other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop James Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. Friday at McDonald Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
