George "Unk" Brown II

George "Unk" Brown II, 72, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at his home.

Born in Blytheville, he was the son of George Brown and Ethel Currie Brown. He was a 1963 graduate of Harrison High School. He had worked as a custodian for the Blytheville School District and the Little Rock School District. He had also worked as a cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Hubert Brown, Herbert Brown and Virginia McDonald.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. LsSonia Moseley of Jacksonville, Arkansas;

His sisters, Mrs. Shirley Brown Furlow, Mrs. Ann Platt and Mrs. Joyce Spain, all of Blytheville;

A brother, Donald Brown of Blytheville;

Three grandchildren; and

Nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Carters Temple CME Church on Rosamond Street. Dr. Jeff Flannigan, pastor, will officiate.
