Roy Dale Lancaster

Roy Dale Lancaster, 76, of Dell, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis.

Born Feb. 22, 1938, in Gouldwick, Texas, he was a grocery store assistant manager, an Army veteran and a 51-year member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Lancaster; a son, Tommy Churchwell; three sisters; and four brothers.

Mr. Lancaster leaves his wife, Anna Crusott Lancaster of Dell;

Three daughters, Edna (Marvin) Quick of Dell, and Susan (Bruce) Hutton and Delores Churchwell, both of Bowling Green, Kentucky;

Six sons, Jerry (Lynn) Birdwell and Keith Payne, both of Dell, Charles Churchwell, Joe Churchwell and George Churchwell, all of Bowling Green, and Danny (Dee) Churchwell of West Palm Beach, Florida;

Two sisters, Viola Dowdy of Texas and Janet Futrilla of California;

Two brothers, Tom Lancaster of Springfield, Missouri, and John Lancaster of Texas; and

17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Duane Catron Jr. and Bro. Craig Jackson, will be held at the funeral home directly following visitation, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
