Margie Jean Rhodes, 81, of Blytheville,, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Irving and Pearl (Mayes) Alexander.

She was a homemaker and former manager of Craft Music Store. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Dell High School and a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 24. She served as treasurer for 15 years and for the last eight years held the position of president. She won many awards from the Department of Arkansas American Legion Auxiliary. Some are Poppy Award, National Security Award, Children and Youth Award, Auxiliary Emergency Fund Award, Legislative Award and Cavalcade of Memories Award.

Margie was preceded in death by a brother, David Alexander; and a step-daughter, Josanna Ivey.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Arland Rhodes;

One son, Danny Hoskins and Linda of Blytheville;

One daughter, Tina Donner of Monette;

One stepson, Rocky Wayne Rhodes of Gosnell;

One stepdaughter, Cindy Shelton of Gosnell;

One brother, Fred Nutt of Blytheville;

Two sisters, Mary Northcutt of Gosnell and Hazel Beck of Dell;

Thirteen grandchildren;

25 great-grandchildren;

Several nieces and nephews;

A very dear friend, Bobbie Bray; and

Many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cobb Funeral Home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Gary Hyde officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Memorials can be given to the Cancer Center, Bethany Baptist Church of Gosnell or the American Legion.
