Ronald James "Ron" Dunlap

Ronald James "Ron" Dunlap, son of the late Dale and Ethelyn Lafitte Dunlap, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, in Hot Springs.

Born on March 1, 1946, in Pine Bluff, he moved with his family to Blytheville in 1953 where he spent much of his young life. Following graduation from Sewanee Military Academy, he attended the University of Virginia. Ron was director of food services at Rivendell in Bryant at the time of his death. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed many rounds with his cousin, Jim Ward.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Dale Crafton of Blytheville;

Nieces Dabney (Steve) Waters of Nashville, Tennessee, and Dale Crafton of Memphis; and

His great-niece and nephews, Caroline Waters and Ridge and Clayton Roberts.

A family service will be held at the Episcopal Chapel in Sewanee, Tennessee.
