Lavada Hoskins Watson, 94 of Blytheville, passed from this life Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Lavada was born to James Albert and Lula Polk Hoskins in Blytheville and was a lifelong resident. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending her time with family and friends. Lavada loved playing cards, especially "Rook" with her neighbors and friends. She enjoyed planting a garden each year and sharing her "bounty" with others.

Lavada was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Leon Hoskins, J.W. Hoskins, "Bus" Hoskins, Mildred Hughes, Emma Webb, Erma Borah and Laverne Byzak.

Lavada is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Junior Watson and wife Pat of Blytheville;

A granddaughter, Sherry Buisker and husband Brian;

Her great-grandchildren, Baily and Darby Buisker, all of Madison, Wisc.; and

Her sisters, Esther Springer of Gosnell and Alvie Skelton of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Danny Pankey officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Elmwood Cemetery.
