Anabeth Holt, 83, of the Milligan Ridge community near Manila, widow of Mr. Gene Holt, passed from this life on Monday Aug. 4, 2014, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late W.M. "Bill" and Mazie Milligan Davidson, was a 1949 graduate of Manila High School, and had lived most of her life in Milligan Ridge. She was well known throughout the area as a creative seamstress and was a retired manager in the fabric and crafts department at the Walmart Supercenter in Osceola. Anabeth was a longtime member of the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin sons, Sonny and Larry Holt; a grandson, Phillip Mattingly; a brother, Bill "Bull" Davidson; and two nephews.

Survivors include two daughters, Faye Fowler Haney of Jonesboro and Rosann Mattingly and her husband, Felton, of Manila; and

Two sisters, Virginia Steele of Little Rock and Kaye Adams of Hernando, Miss.

She also leaves nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and her very special four-legged companion, Buster.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila, with the Rev. Dannie Webster officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Mattingly, Tommy Fowler, Patrick Fowler, Trey Holt, Seth Grissom and Brett Craine. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Waymon Holt, Dr. Michael Isaacson, Dr. Ray Hall, Joyce Files, Ricky Jackson, Dwight Jackson, Bobby Lee Barker and Mike Adams.

The family prefers any memorials to the Milligan Ridge Baptist Church or the Lost But Now Loved Animal Shelter, 102 S. Franklin St., Pine Bluff, AR 71603.
