O.V. Doss

O.V. Doss, 75, of Osceola, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Born in Maben, Miss., to the late Clark Doss Sr. and Irene Norris, he was a retired cotton gin worker and a member of Tabernacle MB Church in Osceola.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three wives, Elnora Doss, Ruth Ann Doss and Frankie Campbell Doss, and one brother, Clark Doss Jr.

He leaves behind five daughters, Teddy (Willie) Childress and Sara J. Rainey both of Wichita, Kan., Barbara L. Sharp (Dr. Raymond Armstrong) of East St. Louis, Ill., Rickia (Charles) Doss of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Atchley Campbell of Little Rock;

Five sons, Terry Joe (Goldie) Lowery of Davenport, Iowa, Prentis Lowery Jr. of Flint, Mich., Brian (Andrea) Doss of Osceola, Eugene (Anja) Lowery of Kohl, Germany, and Kenny (Cindy) Mitchell of Little Rock; and

Twenty grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Tabernacle MB Church in Osceola with Pastor M.L. Smith officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Rivercrest Gardens Cemetery.
