Minyon Cohen

Mrs. Minyon Cohen, 85 of Blytheville, passed from this life Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Great River Medical Center.

Born in Iuka, Miss., to Marvin McKinley and Susie Bell Cox Rast, she was retired from Chickasawba Hospital as an X-ray Assistant and was a member of Salem Methodist Church in Iuka, Miss.

Mrs. Cohen was a member of DAV Axillary. She had a green thumb and was an avid flower gardener. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and made Afghans for her family. She enjoyed helping her mother quilt and together they won blue ribbons for their handiwork.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Cohen, and son Stephen Cohen.

Minyon is survived by her children Ronald Cohen and wife Belle Ann, of Braidwood, Ill., Karen Cohen Monroe of Blytheville; and

Six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Rutledge Salem Methodist Church in Iuka, Miss. Burial followed in Rutledge Salem Methodist Church Cemetery.
