The best Christmas gift there is

To the editor:

Everyone is looking for the best Christmas gift there is. They want to get everyone what they want. However, I can tell you that the best gift does not cost a penny, it is free. The only thing is that people will call you cheap, that you do not care, and that you are crain addition, you do not have to go to a store, or do any baking.

However, ask someone that has no one, is all alone. Ask them what the best gift is. I can tell you what it is. It is time, a hug from someone, especially a child.

People seem to think that money is the only thing to make people happy. If it is, why is there so many people sad at this time of the year?

If you don't know of anyone to buy a cake for or make a cake for, then make one for someone that can't eat it, but will see it, and on Christmas Day, sing Happy Birthday to the one person, who would love to hear it, Jesus. Yes, that is his birthday.

Yes, I am a millionaire, but not in money, I have seen a million smiles, that is something that won't go out of style, rust, grow old, tear up, or people get tired of. A smile can warm a lonely heart; let someone know that you care. Now before someone thinks that I have a lot of money, I do not. I take pride in the fact that I have to work for what I have. I am only rich, because of all the smiles I have seen. How rich are you in smiles?

Take your family to church; see how many people that you can find that needs a special gift. I bet you can find a lot of them.

No one can steal this gift from you. In addition, we know that there is a lot of people stealing, because they do not want to work, and think that what someone else has is better and they deserve it. Where is the pride in that?

I think that a smile, a hug, and going to church to tell Jesus how much I love Him, is the best gift. God takes care of me and gives me what I need. I trust His judgment.

What do you think the best gift is?
