Mr. Julius Jack Parnell Sr., 73, of Monette, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Mr. Parnell was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Iola, Texas, to the late Enoc Elwood and Isabell Blondie Parnell. Mr. Parnell was one of Jehovah's Witnessess, a former minister at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess in Blytheville. His greatest love was the ministry and he enjoyed working on old cars.

Mr. Parnell was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, J. W. Parnell and Bobby Parnell.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Parnell of the home;

Two sons, Tony Parnell and wife, Deenie, of Minden, La., and Julius Jack Parnell Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Monette;

Two daughters, Angel Petering and husband, Ken, of McKenzie, Tenn., and Terri Parnell of Leachville

Two brothers, Wayne Parnell of Iola, Texas, and Pete Parnell of Angleton, Texas;

Three sisters, Daisy Hunziker of Angleton, Texas, Lillie Anding of West Monroe, La., and Linda Holt of Lake Jackson, Texas;

His only grandson, Dakota Jack Younger of Leachville;

Seven granddaughters, Desire' Phillips, Chelsea Thompson, Angelica Schieman, Marisa Passman, Karaline Parnell, Natalie Parnell and Mollee Parnell; and

Six great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess in Blytheville with Minister Vachal Boone Rose III officiating. The family requests private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
