Mary Katherine Cardwell

Mrs. Mary Katherine Cardwell, 85, of Blytheville, passed from this life Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born to Dave and Agnes Ann Taylor in Memphis, she was a resident of this area for most of her life, a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith and loved to do volunteer work for various charities and projects.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rufus Cardwell; brothers, Marshall Taylor, Gaston Taylor, Raymond Taylor and Arthur Taylor; and sisters, Beulah Warren, Dessie Jones and Allene Vandervort.

Mary is survived by her son, Vaughn Lukasavage of Bellflower, Calif.;

Her grandchildren, Christy Dauley of Huntington Beach, Calif,, Ronnie Lukasavage of Phoenix, Ariz., Keith and Rachel Lukasavage;

Her great-grandchildren, Shelby Dauley, Mallorey Dauley, Hayley Dauley and Amira Lukasavage;

A caregiving nephew and niece, Walter and Kathy Wilkey of Wappapello, Mo.; and

A host of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery and the family will receive friends, Monday afternoon from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
