Gosnell man alleges racism in speeding ticket

Friday, October 4, 2013

To the editor:

I have never been ticketed until the "change in power" within the Gosnell Police Department. I was traveling near the school on this day, as the "officer," Keith Hill, pulled me over, without radar equipment, and stated I was speeding. (I never speed, kids are around.)

I have lived here for a while and drive by the school on a daily basis. So to be "profiled," that I was speeding without the "radar" is to me "DWB" -- Driving While Black.

This racial problem needs to be addressed in Gosnell.

Others have been given tickets also under these "profiling" measures used by this police department.

These "tactics" need to stop. They keep this community divided with the constant "racial tension" they showboat on a daily basis.

Please print this to stop this "injustice." Thank you!
