Man says rumors aren't true

Thursday, September 12, 2013

To the editor:

Recently, there has been a rumor around the city of Blytheville about a preacher being seen at a motel with his niece-in-law.

Well, this preacher is me, Bishop Jamie Marshall. And this false accusation of seeing me at a motel with my niece-in-law is a lie. Beloved, God hate a false witness who tells lies, Proverbs 6:19. Beloved, seek the truth and the truth will make you free, John 8:32.

This lie will not stop me from being all I can for God. It will only make me stronger through him, Philippians 4:13. I pray for the person who started this lie, and also for those who believe it. So many are seeking gossip, and not the Gospel. Beloved, you are being used by Satan, but God is a merciful and forgiving God, Matthew 5:7. Beloved, I don't want to be in confusion, Psalm 71:1, and God is a God of peace.

Bishop Jamie Marshall
