Mike Keith "Superman" Wells was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Doc and Willey (Mooney) Wells. He passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at his home in Chickasha, at the age of 80.
Mike had worked with the Fish and Wildlife in Arkansas, working around the
lakes for 36 years until his retirement. He had also worked at Wal-Mart and Standridge Equipment Co.
He married Julie (Hayes) Molina Feb. 14, 2009, in Chickasha at Faith Baptist Church.
Mike, even as a little boy, had lots of friends. He was always so happy and loved everybody. He never met a stranger and all the kids loved him and he loved all kids, as well as everybody else. He was an amazing man.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Willey Wells; and a brother, Bobby Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Wells, of the home;
Three sons, Mark Wells of Tennessee, Mike Watkins of Minnesota, and Randy Watkins of Illinois;
A daughter, Gina Wells, of Virginia;
Two granddaughters, Alexis Dakota of Tennessee and Stephanie Lenea of Texas;
His brother, Melroy Wells of South Carolina;
His sister, Mary Ruth Walker of Tennessee;
Two step-children, Teresa and Richard Perry of Mangum, Okla., and Cleo and Marla Hayes of Lawton, Okla.;
Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and
Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.
Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, Okla.
