Nitwit dolts and their PC solutions to non-problems

To the editor:

Sometimes I wonder if a politically correct world can long survive. It seems that the entire goal of the PC crowd is to make life as dull as possible and much less safe. Evidently they have not heard the old adage that "variety is the spice of life." You can but wonder what the nitwit dolts that sit thinking up new PC solutions to non-problems.

Here's some examples:

1. We have a president that can not force himself to admit there are Islamic extremist terrorists. The administration and people like Nancy Pelosi are calling events like 9-11 and the Boston bombings -- man caused destruction -- instead of terrorism. When did we start worrying about hurting a criminal's feelings? Even worse is the case of Major Hassan at Fort Hood, says he killed all those people to protect Taliban from them should they be deployed to Afghanistan. Instead of terrorism, our so-called "leaders" call it workplace violence, which also happens to prevent the victims from getting purple hearts and some compensation.

2. Some schools have done away with competitive games because they are afraid of the emotional injury losing causes. Maybe someone should tell them that in life, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. You are very lucky if the losses don't outpace the wins. Games are there to help you learn how to handle both, and more importantly, how to deal with other people during both. How many people would go to see the Razorbacks or Cowboys play football if they didn't keep score? They just played for an hour then each got a certificate of participation and went home? I'm sure the stadium would be full of people paying $50 to watch that! NOT!

3. Every year around the middle of November when Christmas items first start showing up in stores, you have the PC fools come out wanting store employees to be banned from saying "Merry Christmas." Although I would agree that the point of the season is not to sell more merchandise. I will point out that the reason the season exists is to celebrate the most important birth in history, the birth of Jesus our savior.

4. Why should we not use the term "illegal alien?" These are people that broke the law by sneaking across the border or overstaying a visa. Last I heard, there were laws against those actions which makes doing it -- illegal! They are from other countries so they are aliens. I wonder what would happen and what you would be called if you went to El Paso and sneaked into Mexico and got caught.

5. New York City Council Democrats want to prevent police from using race, gender or age in describing suspects they are looking to locate for committing a crime. They claim this is race, gender or age bias? So if a black middle -aged man or teenage Chinese girl robs people on the street, the police can't describe them in those terms, they can only say it is a person and then describe the clothing. So if the two suspects in my example were both wearing green pants and a white T-shirt, they would be described exactly the same. I'm sure that will reduce crime and get more criminals off the street.

That's just a few examples, I could go on for hours but it would just get boring. I think those reading are intelligent and get my point without it being overly done. PC is just the tip of the lunatic iceberg in the country today. We have people that want to argue that abortion is a "woman's health issue" and should be up to her. What if the baby is female? That woman's health issue did her a lot of good! There is a sizable group in Vermont that wants to do away with prisons and send criminals to rehab instead. So I guess if the Boston bomber was in their precinct, they would be sending him to rehab for 6 months and then putting him on the street again all cured. After all there is no such thing as a TERRORIST.
