Mrs. Bonnie Jean Kendrick, 97 of Shelby, N.C., died Monday, July 22, 2013. She was born in Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ely and Jessie Driver;

her husband, Bob Kendrick; and one daughter, Jean Driver Dixon.

She is survived by two daughters, Merrie Carol (and Nick) Weedman and Laura "Itsy" (and Dale) Wells;

Three sons, Robert (and Janet) Kendrick, Tommy Kendrick and Danny (and Rhea Ann) Kendrick;

A son-in-law, Cullen Dixon;

Eleven grandchildren: Dana (and Jason) Austin, Charlie (and Beth) Dixon, Bart (and Debbie) Dixon, Melissa (and Chris) Achtien, Sara (and Tom) Carty, Amy (and Alan) Balaran, Laura (and Tim) Rucker, Justin (and Patty) Wells, Brad (and Cortney) Kendrick, Michael (and Kathleen) Kendrick and Carrie Kendrick; and

Sixteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Roller-Swift Funeral Home Chapel in Osceola.
