Mrs. Bonnie Jean Kendrick, 97, passed away peacefully Monday, July 22, 2013, at hospice. Born in Osceola, she was the daughter of Ely and Jessie Driver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bob Kendrick; and a daughter, Jean Driver Dixon.

Bonnie leaves behind her beloved family including a son-in-law Cullen Dixon;

Her daughters Merrie Carol (and Nick) Weedman, Laura "Itsy" (and Dale) Wells; and

Sons Robert (and Janet) Kendrick, Tommy Kendrick, and Danny (and Rhea Ann) Kendrick.

Grandchildren include Dana (and Jason ) Austin, Charlie (and Beth) Dixon, Bart (and Debbie) Dixon, Melissa (and Chris) Achtien, Sara (and Tom) Carty, Amy (and Alan) Balaran, Laura (and Tim) Rucker, Justin (and Patty ) Wells, Brad (and Cortney) Kendrick, Michael (and Kathleen) Kendrick, and Carrie Kendrick.

Great-grandchildren include Aspen and Allie Austin, Katie Dixon, Emily Dixon, Lauren Wagner, Chris, Evan, and Katy Achtien, Kendall, Lindsey, Ethan and Cameron Carty, K.C. and Jessie Rucker, Molly Dicus and T. J. Kueter.

The family would like to thank the staff at White Oak Manor and Hospice at Wendover, both of Shelby, N.C., for the unbelievable care and comfort provided to Bonnie.

A memorial service to celebrate her life is planned in August in Arkansas. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
