Larry Preston Goff

Mr. Larry Preston Goff, 71, of Blytheville died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Great River Medical Center. The son of Eva Ruth Gunter Goff and Preston Goff, he was born in Blytheville April 27, 1942.

Larry was owner/operator of Dogwood Heat & Air, and for many years took wonderful care of his customers no matter what the weather. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church, and before his decline in health enjoyed fellowship with other Christians.

Larry served his country in the First Calvary Division of the United States Army, stationed in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.

He was an avid motorcycle rider.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Todd Goff.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Johnnie Clark Goff;

A son, Bryan Goff, and his wife, April, of Blytheville;

A daughter-in-law, Tammy Goff of Moscow, Tenn.;

Four grandchildren, Annmarie, Eva, Cameron and Hannah Goff;

One brother, Ronny Goff, and his wife, Elaine; and

One sister, Pam Goff Maxwell and her husband, Jimmy.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Carney Funeral Home with Billy Hardesty and Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the service begins. Memorials may be made to New Liberty Baptist Church or American Heart Association.
