Lillie V. Yarbrough

Mrs. Lillie V. Yarbrough, 83, of Blytheville, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. Born Jan. 4, 1930, in Hernando, Miss., she was a homemaker and a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorn Echols and Creasie Wallace Echols; her husband, Willie Yarbrough Sr.; her daughter, Linda Patterson; and her son, William Yarbrough.

Mrs. Yarbrough leaves five daughters, Emma DeGraffenreid of St. Louis, Lestell Bonds of St. Louis, Carolyn Ferguson of Cleveland, Annette Strong of Blytheville, and Kimberly Yarbrough Nzeogwuyah of Blytheville;

Four brothers, Willie Yarbrough Jr. of Kansas City, Bobby Yarbrough of Warrensburg, and Donnie Yarbrough and Ricky Yarbrough, both of Blytheville;

Two sisters, Izella Moore of St. Louis and Bertha Mae Echols of Blytheville;

Five brothers, Rev. Lawrence Echols of Blytheville, Lee Ray Echols, Charles Echols, and Willie B. Echols of St. Louis, and Lee Roy Echols of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and

Twenty-six grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Douglas Echols, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
