Mrs. Beniver Alexander, 94, of Blytheville passed from this life Wednesday, April 3, 2012, at Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville.

Born in Blytheville to George Benjamin and Elma Via Ray, she was a retired babysitter and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Beniver enjoyed working in her yard. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Alexander; her "second" mother, Maggie Lee Ray; and brothers, Atlas Boles, Bartell Ray and Orvel Ray.

Beniver is survived by her daughter, Virginia Cleo Little and husband, Winston;

A grandson, Lyn Little and wife, Linda, all of Del;

Great-granddaughters, LeAnn Little and Lacey Payne and husband, Eric;

Special great-great-grandchildren, Katelyn Little and Alex Payne;

A sister, Athalee Sermack of Detroit;

A sister-in-law, Clarice Boles of Dallas; and

A host of nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Elmwood Cemetery with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
