Jim Allen Talley
Mr. Jim Allen Talley, 78, of Osceola, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Born July 28, 1943, to the late Don Talley and Lee Anna Talley, he was a retired farmer and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he was a deacon.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Laverne Talley and his second wife Geneva Talley; one daughter, Carolyn Smith; one sister, Callie Talley; and one brother, John Talley.
Mr. Talley leaves three daughters, Gloria Adams and Sherlyn Chapman of Milwaukee, Wis., and Felicia Jones of Blytheville;
Two step-daughters, Teresa Brown of Joiner and B.J. Toliver of Maryland;
Four sons, Fred Talley and Ronald Talley of Milwaukee, Wis., and Tim Talley and Darrell Talley of Luxora;
Three step-sons, Calvin Redmond and Neal Redmond of Blytheville, and Chris Redmond of Osceola;
Six sisters, Minnie Jacobs and Mammie Williams of Turrell, Julie Craig of Hughes, LeBertha Talley of Largo, Fla., Betty Talley of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Katie Talley of Chicago;
One brother, James Talley of Little Rock; and
Thirty-six grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia M.B. in Wilson with pastor Bryant Whitted officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Wilson. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
