Ronald Joseph Mastowski

Mr. Ronald Joseph Mastowski, 64, of Blytheville, passed from this life Friday, March 1, 2013, at his home with family members at his bedside.

Born in Connellsville, Pa., to Frank B. and Gertrude Stella Suski Mastowski, he was employed with Nucor-Yamato Steel for 22 years.

Ronald was an outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting. He was an avid golfer and won numerous trophies and plaques. He enjoyed playing golf for charitable organizations, especially St. Jude's Children's Hospital. He was an amazing man and his strength showed as he battled neck, brain and spinal cancer. Ronald was a thoughtful, caring and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a volunteer coach for t-ball through the age of 13-year-olds and enjoyed traveling with the teams. He enjoyed friendships with his co-workers and golfing partners.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Gertrude Mastowski and a nephew, Matthew Pornichak.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 33 wonderful years, Anita N. Mastowski of the home;

His children, John Scott Mastowski and wife, Teresa, and Adrienne Hohn and husband, Chris, all of Gosnell, Christine Ann Mastowski of Kernersville, N.C. and Nicholas Anthony Mastowski of Blytheville;

Two brothers, Charles Mastowski and wife, Sonya, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Donald Mastowski of St. John's, Aria.;

Three sisters, Marcie Huha and husband, Michael, of Yukon, Pa., Cynthia Frye and husband, Charles of Scottsdale, Pa., and Gertrude Pornichak and husband, Jack of Greensburg, Pa.; and

Ten grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cobb Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
