Family thanks those who responded to Big Lake accident
To the editor:
On behalf of my family, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Mississippi County Emergency Squad, the Arkansas State Police, the Sheriff's Office, the Craighead County Dive Team, Manila PD and any other organization that were involved in the retrieval of my son, Steve Rush, on the morning of his accident on Jan. 28, 2013 at Big Lake.
These people worked not-stop in the frigid cold and swift water to retrieve my son. Words can't express our gratitude to these people for the risks and long hours of effort these people spent in his retrieval.
Once again, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! He was a great father to his two beautiful kids, a great son to his mother and me. (It was a joy to watch him grow into the man that he was), and a loving husband to his wife.
He is greatly missed by us all.
