Shiron Catrice 'Black' Smith

Mrs. Shiron Catrice "Black" Smith, 40, of Osceola, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at South Mississippi County Medical Center in Osceola. Born Sept. 24, 1972, in Memphis, she was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the director of the choir.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Shanell D. Brown.

Mrs. Smith leaves her husband, Robert Smith of Osceola;

Her parents, Dr. Moses Black and Bessie Black of Osceola;

One daughter, Shirlonda Catrice Black of Blytheville;

Two sons, Roderick Deshawn Black of Little Rock and John Bontrell Black of Osceola;

Six sisters, Pamela (and Joe C.) Scott and Stephanie Black of Blytheville, Valerie (and Tony) Jefferson and Cynthia (and Marcus) Houston of Osceola, Tasha (and Jessie) Diamond of Little Rock, and Tina Knox of Alabama;

Two brothers, Rev. Joshua (and Sonya) Black of Marion and Terrance Malone of Oklahoma; and

Four grandchildren, Rydreunna Black, Roderick Black Jr., and Nazariah Meadows of Little Rock and Cassanova Lollis Jr. of Blytheville.

The family will receive visitors from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Moses Black, will be held at the church following visitation, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
