Harold Gene Perkins

Mr. Harold Gene Perkins, 76, of Blytheville, passed from this life Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Great River Medical Center.

Born in Reagan, Tenn., to Johnie and Audra E. Tucker Perkins, he was of the Baptist faith and was owner and operator of Perkins Grocery Store. Harold had a sound work ethic and could always be found at the store, no matter how he felt. He was a Mason, an avid duck hunter, was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Perkins.

Mr. Perkins is survived by his brothers, Leon Perkins and wife, Joyce, of Booneville, Miss., and William Perkins and wife, Betty, of Blytheville;

His sisters, Rena Skelton and husband, Don, of Blytheville, and Wilma Seikel and husband, Pete, of Perkins, Okla.;

His nieces and nephews, Brena Brown, Robert Perkins, Audra Lassley, Cindy Porter and Johnny Skelton;

His great-nieces and nephews, Cassie Skelton, Zachary Skelton, Jacquelyn Briley, Ashley Brown, Laura Brown, Sarah Lucy, Braden Lassley and Ashley Perkins; and

Great-great-nieces and nephew, Ava Briley, Kaylie McGough and Trenton Hancock.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in Reagan, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Cobb Funeral Home at which time Masonic Rites will be performed. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
