Mr. Sammy Lee Palmore Sr., 66, of Blytheville died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Crittenden Regional Hospital in West Memphis. Born Sept. 2, 1946, to the late Willie Jake Palmore and Annie Bell Thomas-Palmore he was a retired employee of the city of Blytheville and a member of Abundant Life Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberly Palmore and Tawanda Palmore; one son, Zackhary Weeden; two sisters, Clemmie J. McDowell and Annie Jones; and three brothers, Willie Palmore Jr., M.C. Palmore and John Palmore Sr.

Mr. Palmore is survived by his wife, Barbara Kincaid-Palmore;

Three daughters, Gina Marie (and Michael) Holbrooks and Charity (and Roderick) Mabry of Blytheville, and Toni Lee (and Khalifa) Shaban of London, England;

Two sons, Darrin (and Debra Odom) Palmore of Memphis, and Sammy (and Valerie) Palmore Jr., of Blytheville;

Four sisters, Ora Dean Willis, Effie Rodgers and Beatrice Talley all of Blytheville, and Mary Diamond of Kansas City, Mo.;

One grandson of the home, Christopher S. Chaudoin of Blytheville; and

Twenty-one grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home with Sammie Palmore Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville.
