James B. Mayo

Mr. James B. Mayo, 85, of Sherwood formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at his home.

Born in Blytheville to Leonard and Mildred Downs Mayo, he was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during WWII. He was retired from American Greeting Company and attended the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andy Mayo.

James is survived by his wife, Juanita Bailey Mayo;

His children, Carolyn Ann Snow and Barbara Lynn Crain, both of Sherwood; and

Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cobb Funeral Chapel with Mr. Greg Groves officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no visitation. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
