Marie Malinda Martin

Mrs. Marie Malinda Martin, 81, of Manila, passed from this life Friday Dec. 28, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Gottlieb and Esther Orth Albrecht and the widow of Mr. Marvin Martin. She lived most of her life in Manila and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Odell Martin; a daughter, Joanne Johnson; and two brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Glidewell of Manila, Donna Ashley of Monette and Vickie Skaggs of Manila;

Three brothers, Alfred Albrecht of Miami, Fla., Arthur Lee Freeman of Little Rock and DeWayne Freeman of Homestead, Fla;

Two sisters, Katherine Hunt of Manila and Leona Duncan of Puxico, Mo.;

Mrs. Martin also leaves four grandchildren; John Baker, Aaron Wallace, Kellye Glidewell and Shelby Wallace.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Manila Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
