George Junior Miller, 80, of Jonesboro, died Sunday Dec. 23, 2012, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born at Bucoda, Mo., he was the son of the late George Washington and Melinda Troop Miller and was a former resident of Arbyrd, Mo., and Chicago. He was a retired welder with H.B. Sackett Company in Chicago and had lived in Jonesboro for the past 16 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, and two grandsons, Phillip and Nicholas Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Ona Mae Miller of the home;

Five sons, Jimmy Miller of Cardwell, Mo., Gary Miller of Senath, Mo., George Miller of Lodi, Wisc., Charles Miller of Mexico and Jeffrey Miller of Harrisburg;

Three daughters, Susie Lambdin of Arbyrd, Jennifer Thompson of Paragould and Laurie Parker of Cardwell;

One brother, Herbert Miller of Cardwell;

Two sisters, Betty Frasier of Arbyrd and Mary Ann Campbell of Murray, Ky.; and

Twenty-two grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Don Seat officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
