Della Jane Shepperson Burnett

Della Jane Shepperson Burnett, 75, of Leachville, passed from this life Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Green Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.

Born in Luxora to Archie Lawrence and Viola Hill Shepperson, she retired from Leachville High School and was a member of Manila First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed work and being with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Burnett; three brothers, David, Frank and W.T.; and two sisters, Clara and Brenda.

Della is survived by her children, Gloria (and Harold) Curry of Paragould, Ruby (and Fred) Lewis of Jonesboro and Darrel (and Sharon) Burnett of Lynn Haven, Fla;

Her grandchildren, Stacy Curry, Christopher Burnett, Hunter Lewis and Lauren Burnett;

A great-grandson, Greyson Burnett;

Two brothers, James Shepperson of Jonesboro and Marvin Shepperson of Burdette;

Two sisters, Jessie Whipple of Brazoria, Texas, and Linda Logan of Blytheville; and

A special friend, Lem Bynum of Luxora.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
