David Luther Cooley

Mr. David Luther Cooley, 73, of Lowell, Mich., passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in Grand Rapids, Mich. He was born April 19, 1939, in Tuscumbia, Ala., the son of Josei and Mildred (McCluskey) Cooley.

David married Norma Wigfield April 30, 1979, in Florida. He worked for the Air Force serving as a Senior Master Sgt. He was a member of D.A.V., V.F.W., American Legion and Air Force SGTS Assoc. David was active with the Boy Scouts and the Air Force Junior ROTC. He loved the Dallas Cowboys.

David is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Norma Cooley of Lowell;

His children, Craig (and Melissa) Fosburg and David (and Tiffany) Cooley Jr. of Arkansas;

His grandchildren, Ashley Fosburg, Tysn Parker and Emma Cooley;

Two brothers-in-law, Richard (and Lyn) Wigfield and Owen (and Molly) Wigfield of Saranac, Mich., and a sister-in-law, Marie (and Mike) McNeal of New York.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Lake Funeral Home of Saranac with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment will be in South Boston Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m. today until time of service at the funeral home. Anyone wishing may make contributions in David's name to the local Boy Scout Troop.
