PINE BLUFF -- Jefferson County prosecutors say they will not pursue charges against a Little Rock man previously wanted for residential burglary, being a felon in possession of a firearm, rape, kidnapping and aggravated assault. Anthony James Welspom, 53, was arrested on the charges in August. Prior to his arrest, it was briefly believed that Welspom might have been headed to the Blytheville area, which was reported in an August edition of the Courier News.
On Thursday, Welspom told the Courier News he had been exonerated of the charges. The prosecuting attorney's office did not provide information on why it was not pursuing the case.
