Earnest Lamont Mitchell

Mr. Earnest Lamont Mitchell, 34, of Arlington, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Tarrant County Hospital in Texas. He was a 1995 graduate of Lamar High School and had been an employee of Grand Prairie Air Base in Grand Prairie. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He enjoyed football, basketball and barbecuing for family cookouts, was a very pleasant person, and had a smile for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Earnest Mitchell and R.L. Taylor Sr.

Mr. Mitchell leaves his wife, Rosita Mitchell;

Three daughters, Zakira E. Mitchell, Lauren M. Mitchell, and Maliyah L. Mitchell of Arlington;

Two step-sons, Lavonte Coady and Jasper Coady of Arlington;

His parents, Lawrence and Darlene Mitchell of Arlington;

His brother, Lawtray (and Gena) Mitchell of Arlington;

His sister, Reniece (and Wesley) Pointdexter of Japan;

A Godsister, Kim Curry of Arlington;

His paternal grandmother, Fannie Mitchell, his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Taylor, and maternal great-grandmother, Annie Barnes, all of Blytheville;

Aunts, Evelyn Davis, Carol (and Randy) Davis, Sandra Taylor, Joyce (and Jerry) Moss, Patricia (and Timmy Sr.) White, Jennifer Taylor, Lora (and Johnny) Wright, Tonya Taylor, Yolanda Taylor and Sandra Taylor Harris;

God-aunts, Fannie Ferguson, Deon Forbes, Cora Williams and Yvette Johnson;

Uncles, Charles White, Robert Taylor, Terry (and Nora) Taylor, Quinn Taylor, Fredrick (and Netta) Taylor and Larry Taylor;

God-uncles, Michael Forbes, Larry Brown and Kenneth Brown Sr.; and

Cousins and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Blytheville, Rev. Johnny E. Moore, Pastor. Rev. Randy Crenshaw will eulogize.
