Mary Frances (Buck) Long, 86, of Waller, Texas, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, in the home in Magnolia, Ark.

Mary was born Sept. 13, 1926, in Blytheville to the late Henry Churchill and Marie (Hannon) Buck and was also preceded in death by her son, John Scott Lesher.

After retiring from Uniroyal Corporation in Houston she focused her life on the simple things that she loved most, her family, friends, gardening and numerous pets but most especially her dog and longtime companion Daisy. She was an avid follower of NASCAR and Fox News always maintaining her sense of humor and her focus on those things she valued most.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Lesher of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Kenneth C. Lesher and wife, Betty, of Magnolia;

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Monte Lesher of Houston, and his children Caleb Scott and Brooklyn; Donna Rolfing and husband, Dennis, of Montgomery, Texas, and their children Shelby and Allyson; Lisa Herold and husband, Sean, of Magnolia, and their children Colin and Kaden; and

A daughter-in-law Carol J. Lesher of Houston.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Blytheville under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
