Mr. Cloyce L. Sutton Sr., 90, of Blytheville died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at his home in Blytheville.

Born Sept 11, 1921, in Pocahontas, he was the son of the late James Osby and Nettie May Lemmons. He was a Professional Registered Land Surveyor retired from Entergy Corporation and a retired realtor. He had served as an elder of the Main and 13th Street Church of Christ for over 50 years, and had worked as an adult leader with the 4-H Program. He was a World War II veteran. He enjoyed gardening, working puzzles, shopping with Mary C., and family time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He lived a quiet life centered around his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mavis J. Sutton; and an infant son, Winston Carter Sutton.
In 2005, he married Mary C. Tohill Smith, who survives him.

Survivors also include two sons, Philip M. Sutton and wife, Terry, of Southaven, Miss., and Cloyce L. Sutton II and wife, Alethea, of Louisville, Ky.;

Three daughters, Linda McDaniel and husband, Mac, and Joyce Born and husband, Tim, all of Kansas City, Mo., and Deena Ladd and husband, Freddie, of Conway;

Fourteen grandchildren, Caroline Oleinik, of Huntsville, Texas, Stephanie Summers, of Battlefield, Mo., Daphne Kolb, of Kearney, Mo., Bryce McDaniel and Jeremiah and Michaela Born, all of Kansas City, Chase Sutton, of Bartlett, Tenn., Diana Berggren, of Greensboro, N.C., Derek Ladd, of Memphis, Taylor Ladd of Duluth, Minn., Daniel Ladd, of Conway, and Hannah, Nate and Esther Sutton of Louisville; and

Thirteen great-grandchildren, Jenny, Thomas and Timothy Oleinik, of Huntsville, Ala., Landon and Elise Summers, of Battlefield, Mo., Brandon and Justin Kolb of Kearney, Mo., Caleb, Savannah, and Andrew Ladd of Memphis, James and Oliver Sutton of Bartlett, Tenn., and Gavin Berggren of Greensboro, N.C.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Bruce Daniels and Leonard White officiating, and Mike Parrish leading singing.
