Danny Joe McHaffey

Danny Joe McHaffey, 58, of Blytheville, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at his home.

Born in Blytheville to Robert Daniel and Mildred Smart McHaffey, he was a lifelong resident of Blytheville, a sales route driver for NEXAIR and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Danny was a past Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts, past board member of the MissCo Fair and a board member of the Dogwood Water Association. He enjoyed woodworking and was a general handyman, especially "honey do's," and loved watching Lindsey cheer at ASU.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Danny is survived by his wife of 14 years, Becky McHaffey of Blytheville;

His daughter, Lindsey Marshall of Jonesboro;

A brother, Sid McHaffey of Jonesboro;

A sister, Pam Stark of Heber Springs;

His mother-in-law, Tink Dedman of Sherwood; and

His father-in-law, Jim Jackson and his wife Linda of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Baillio officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cobb Funeral Home.
