Elnora Bonds

Mrs. Elnora Bonds, 79, died Friday, July 20, 2012, in Jonesboro. Born July 16, 1933, in Osceola, she was a homemaker and member of New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Jones Sr. and Sidney McKinney Jones; her husband, Calvin Bonds Sr.; one son, Joe Lee Orr; one sister, Vanessa Jones; and one brother, Bobby Jones.

Mrs. Bonds leaves her step-mother, Anita Jones of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Shella Bonds of Jonesboro and Martha Echols and Blytheville;

Three sons, Robert Bonds, Calvin Bonds Jr., and Michael Bonds, all of Blytheville;

Four sisters, Regina (and Melvin) Cooper of Alaska, Doris (and Detric) Burden of Memphis, and Elizabeth Jones and Tonya (and Johnny) Dillard of Blytheville;

Five brothers, Marvin (and Rosemary) Jones, Robert Jones, and Sammy (and Juanita) Jones of Blytheville, Edmond (and Lisa) Jones Jr. of Florida, and Willie (and Deanna) Jones of Osceola; and

Fifteen grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Leroy Nash, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at New St. Paul Church. Burial will take place at Sandy Ridge Cemetery.
